Some matters of course are different in Canada to effect a lawful seizure, however, we will work with you to expedite your understanding of our processes. The information form included on this site will assist you with the speedy recovery of your security. Required documents needed for you are as follows:

Copy of Title Document or State Registration relating to chattel;
Copy of the Contract - example: conditional sale, chattel mortgage or lease;
Up to date statement of account;
Any and all application forms showing debtor name, address, date of birth (if available), employment, personal references and any other current information as to possible location in Canada (we are a big country);

All the above is required in order that we may register your interests in the Province of Ontario under our central registry system, thus protecting your interest in collateral. Should your debtor be located in another Province in Canada, similar registry systems are available in all Provinces to transcribe jurisdiction.

American creditors should also know that American registered vehicles cannot be sold in Canada and must be returned across the border to a convenient location of your choice. Should you be caught in this unfortunate situation we will assist with the transport of your security as well as the required customs broker for re-entry of your security into the U.S.
